The Culture of Spanish Verse in the Late Middle Ages

Magdalen College, Oxford, 4-6 July 2013

The Culture of Spanish Verse in the Late Middle Ages is a conference sponsored by the Leverhulme Trust, the Cancionero society Convivio, and the Magdalen Iberian Medieval Studies Seminar (MIMSS), as the culmination of a joint Leverhulme project of the University of Liverpool, the University of Oxford, and the University of Cambridge.

The conference will take place from the 4th to the 6th of July 2013 in Magdalen College, Oxford.

Keynote speakers will include Vicenç Beltrán (Università degli Studi di Roma “La Sapienza”), Roger Boase (Queen Mary University of London), Cleofé Tato (Universidade da Coruña) and Jane Whetnall (Queen Mary University of London).

In addition, there will be a series of 20 minutes papers on different topics by specialists in the field of Cancionero studies.

The Call for Papers is open until the 30th of April 2013.

Registration will remain open until the 3rd of July 2013.
